Joomla! (the exclamation mark is part of the name!), is the Content Management System (CMS) that we use here at GroundSwell Design. A CMS enables website owners to update their own content, articles, products, images and events when they need to without having to go back to a specialist web developer. This means a website can be more dynamic and reactive to changing content. Current up to date content is a great way to ensure people keep returning to your site and have a rewarding experience.

Joomla! is built upon core internet technologies which means there is lots of support for the system both from the developer/designer community and web hosting companies.

As an administrator of a Joomla! site you log in to your administration area and start producing new content, editing or removing old articles, taking a backup of your site or adding new products and events in an intuitive web environment.

Joomla! has great flexibility such as setting publishing dates in the future, a familiar word processing or rich text editor for creating web articles, many components which may be levered to produce great functionality and the ability to completely change the look of your site through the application of a new template presenting the existing content in a new way.
